Creative Writing Classes
FAMILY CREATIVE WRITING AT THE VILLAGE
Wednesday 28th July, 10:00-11:30, Corbett Community Centre, Torridon Road, London, SE6 1RQ
Join me for a fun, interactive writing workshop for children aged 6+ and their adults.
Collaborate and create your own imaginary underwater world and craft stories together. You will leave with lots of exciting ideas for where to take your writing next and inspiring activities to do at home.
You only need to book 1 ticket per family group. The workshop is 1.5 hours long.
The session will be socially distanced and COVID-secure.
We ask that all adults wear a face covering inside the building and until seated, unless exempt for medical reasons.

9:45- 10:45am each week
We will be hosting our SATURDAY MORNING COURSE for young writers aged 9-13 years (with some flexibility on age limits!) at the beautiful Moon Lane Books, 300 Stanstead Road, SE23 1DE.
Come along to grow into a truly great writer! This is a friendly group for young writers who want to refine and enhance their skills by enjoying fun activities with an experienced specialist teacher. Our engaging and exciting sessions will cover fiction, non-fiction and poetry.
The cost for the course is £90, including materials.

As always, subsidised places are available- please do get in touch if the cost of the class might prevent your child from accessing our classes.

Shorter day of 9am – 1pm available for all children and essential for 4 year olds
Outdoor creative writing inspired by Forest School skills and exploring nature.
At Grow Mayow, Mayow Park, Sydenham
Join us for Forest School fun, creative writing, outdoor play, art, crafts, games and lots of seasonal adventures!
Ages 4 -12 years
Cost: £70 full day, £40 half day.
5% sibling discount

The workshops will be run by Holly Dabbs, a qualified teacher and Forest School leader and Sarah Parrott, a qualified teacher and Writing consultant.
mini write sparks (currently suspended)

Suitable for 1-3 year olds (or thereabouts!)
Mark making isn’t just scribbling!
Research has proven it is important for:
– Language and brain development
– Creative expression
– Taking the first steps towards writing
We’ll be using paints, chalks, toys, foam, crayons and so much more! It will be messy, creative fun- they’ll be learning without realising, but don’t come in your best clothes! Come along to support your child in their journey towards writing and towards starting school!
